5 months old

Time is flying by! Miss Callie is 5 months old! Can you believe it!?! This past month has been a month of many "firsts". We took Callie to her first wedding (Congrats Jen and Derek!) and her first birthday party (Happy 1st Bday Katelyn!). Callie had her first solid foods...first rice cereal, then oatmeal, and we are currently trying bananas. At her 4 month appt. the doctor encouraged me to give solids a try...she said it sounded like Callie was giving us lots of signs that she was ready. She was holding her head up well, reaching for our plates/glasses during mealtime, and trying to put everything in her mouth. I wasn't sure she was quite ready yet, but figured we could at least go ahead and try. Boy was I wrong!! From the first bite...she has LOVED her cereal! I am not sure she loves her cereal quite as much now that we have started bananas...I think she is realizing she has more options and I am sure that the bananas taste way better than the cereal! She loves eating though and will kick her feet and start talking when she sees you coming with her food. It is the cutest thing! She has also started rolling over from her back to her belly. The first week of her new trick she would roll over and get her arm stuck....which then led to this huge fit until you got her arm out for her. Now she has it mastered though and is rolling all over the place. Sometimes she rolls over and will play with her toys for awhile...sometimes she rolls over and then will throw a fit because she is on her belly and doesn't know how to roll back over. She is just an amazing little lady who is developing quite a personality and is changing so much everyday...I swear on the days I work that I come home and she looks different! This is what else she has been up to this past month:

~She has became more aware of Jax. She smiles at him, kicks her feet in excitement when she sees him, and tries to grab/pet him when he gets close enough to her.
~She is babbling up a storm. We have heard m,n, and d sounds. She squeals and laughs out loud.
~She loves her toys and her play gym.
~She has started to get some anxiety when people she doesn't see very often or hasn't met yet hold her...she will sometimes fuss, pout her lip out, and reach out for mommy/daddy.
~She is starting to know her name.
~She loves Mickey Mouse cartoons.

All dressed up for Derek and Jen's Wedding - not the best pic - it was an evening wedding and it was getting close to Callie's bedtime...she wasn't much in the mood for pictures, but did make it through the ceremony without a single tear!
