The Rost Family: 4 months

Callie is 4 months old! It is hard to believe she has been here 1/3 of a year already! This past month she has grown and changed so much! This is what we have been up to this month....We decided to be brave this month and J.R. and I took her to a restaurant for the first time...we went to LePeeps on Easter morning. We timed it just right around her nap and her breakfast and she did wonderful!!! She has also had a few brief shopping trips with mommy and nanny...she is starting to get the hang of it! She just wants to be carried so she can look around! She is very interested in everything around her...quite the nosey girl! We had professional 3 month pictures taken...so stay tuned for those to be posted soon...a little late I know, but they are coming!! Callie also got to meet her Great Grandma Loveless for the first time, who was in town visiting from Florida.

Here is what our little lady has been up to this month: She has started rolling around like crazy! She hasn't rolled over yet, but will roll from her back, up onto each side...she gets about 3/4 of the way over from her back to her belly and then she flips back real fast. She love, love, loves her play gym. She has started sitting up in her bumbo seat. She has started reaching her arms out for J.R. and I when other people are holding her. She is starting to have favorite toys...her favorites are her plastic link rings and this blue dog holding a guitar that plays music. We have started reading books and she actually sits somewhat still listening and looking at the pictures...she seems to have a preference for the board books...maybe because the colors are brighter in these than the books with the paper pages. She likes us to sing songs to her...her favorite is Pat-A-Cake and she has also started playing Peek-A-Boo with her daddy. She has starting becoming more aware of Jax. She will be on the floor in her play gym and Jax will come over and lay beside her....she will put her feet on him and then he will move to the other side...she will twist and turn until she gets her feet back on him...it is so funny to watch! She is really enjoying her baths these days and will kick her feet and splash water everywhere. She is laughing and giggling A LOT...it is so cute! She has also started really checking us out when we are eating dinner...she just stares...makes us feel like we are starving her! And finally....the stats from her 4 month check up: 13 pounds 2 ounces (50% percentile) and 24 1/2 inches long (60% percentile). She has gained 4 pounds and 4 inches in the last 4 months!!!
