3 months old

My heart!!!

This past month has been a little rough on me and Miss Callie. My maternity leave ended and I had to go back to work!! I was dreading it, but it has actually been ok...just ok. I love my job and the ladies I work with. I love knowing that I help make a difference in the life of a child and their family. I feel like since having Callie...I see things at work through a different set of eyes...the eyes of parent. However everyday I go off to work...my heart is still at home with Callie. I keep telling myself it is going to get easier, but for some reason every day I go off to work...it seems harder. It would be a little easier if our little missy would just take a bottle well! We started trying to introduce a bottle at about a month of age...I think I mentinoned this in a previous post. By the time I started back to work...we had tried 10 different bottles/nipples! 10! Adiri, Avent, Playtex, Gerber, Tommee Tippee, Nuk, Dr. Brown, Breastflow...I can't even remember the other 2! We finally found one we thought she does the best with, but it is work...you have to walk around with her and bounce her a certain way...heat the nipple under warm water and sometimes put a little bit of sugar on it just to get her started! I think she is already telling us who is in charge! She is doing ok with, but still voices her opinion about the whole ordeal while you are feeding her.

Callie is changing so much everyday. I look back at her newborn pictures and in some of them she doesn't look like the same baby...she is starting to look like a little lady! This past month she has became very nosey! She used to love her bouncy seat and swing...she still likes them sometimes, but she would prefer for us to hold her more upright so she can look around. It is so fun to watch her and see her figuring out how things work. She has really discovered her hands and loves to put her toys in her mouth. I am actually not so sure she is not starting to teethe!! I know it is early, but aside from putting everyting in her mouth, she is drooling up a storm. She is also really enjoying bath time now. You put her in the tub and she will sit really still and just stare at her feet...then all of the sudden she will start kicking up a storm! It is really funny to watch her! She is also really interested in watching us eat. I think she will be ready for some cereal before long! Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks....we just had her month pictures taken with a photographer so be looking for some of those in the next few weeks! Sitting in her swing with her lovey

Right after a bath....look at her cheeks!!!
