The Rost Family: 2 months old

Callie is now 2 months old! Time is going by way too fast!! She is changing so much everyday! It is so much fun to watch her grow and learn new things, but I wish she could stay little forever! The past month we have been bussssyyyy! We went to my cousin Jessica's baby shower, celebrated JR's 30th birthday, had a visit from cousin TJ and his fiance Amy along with Aunt Carol and Uncle Tom, and had a playdate with some of my work friends and their babies. We also took Callie on her first road trip to my parents cabin in Tennessee. She did amazingly well on the 6 hour drive!! We stopped once on the way down and twice on the way up for her to eat. The rest of the time she pretty much slept. While we were there we also made a stop in Kentucky to introduce Callie to her Great Grandma Frances for a Valentine's Day surprise! We didn't get to stay long, but it was so nice to be able to see her and visit for a few hours!!

Aside from all of the busyness, the time is getting closer and closer for me to return to work....I must say I am DREADING it!! I can't imagine being away from the little princess for a whole day! On top of that, she is still having trouble taking a bottle! We have finally figured out which one she likes best...after we have tried 7!! The most volume we can get her to take is an ounce! We are still practicing, so hopefully within the next few weeks she starts to like it a little better. Otherwise, she is going to be a really hungry girl before mommy gets home after a 13 hour day! Her reflux also continues to be a problem...with her sometimes spitting up entire feedings. The doctor decided we should start her on some medicine, so hopefully within the next few weeks we will see some improvement with that. Here are her 2 month stats along with what she is up to right now:

Smiling and laughing up a storm!!! She is usually the happiest in the morning right after she wakes up.
Making baby noises....we make noises back at her and it is like we are actually having a conversation with her...although I have no idea what we are saying! :)

Starting to enjoy playing with toys...especially likes ones that play music
Usually has two back to back 3 1/2 to 4 hour stretches at night in between feedings and then during the day eats about every 2-3 hours. We are still working on getting on a daytime schedule, but our nighttime schedule is becoming more consistent which is nice!
Still enjoying tummy time and starting to hold herself up on her arms a little bit
And now for the stats: 10 pounds 14 ounces (up 14 ounces from her 1 month appt.)
and 22 1/2 inches long (an increase of 1 inch)...both of which put her in the 70th percentile as compared to other babies her age
